Tory Burch Haul 2015 - Fashion Outlets

Decided to treat myself to a little luxury in Chicago. I met two other YouTubers, ChaChaCakes and Deb Anderson for a girls' weekend away, and we had a blast! Since Tory Burch outlets are few and far between, I took this opportunity to visit the store and see what purses and accessories they sell.

Funny story though - my credit cards were rejected! The saleswoman said "Don't worry, it happens all the time" because people tend to come to that store while on vacation. Although it was a bit annoying (and a LOT embarrassing!), I am glad that my credit cards reject purchases that seem out of the ordinary. Given that I rarely buy purses (and don't live in Chicago, obviously), I raised some red flags that day!

I bought four items that day (click the video above for the full review of these gorgeous little pretties!!!!), but my favorite item is what I am currently using for my everyday purse, the Robinson Perforated Bag (seen on right):

Did a little bit of damage lol, but these pieces are timeless, beautiful, and of amazing quality. I'll be enjoying them for many years to come.

Thrifty Desk Alarm Clock - Ikea Vackis Clock

One of the must-haves we had when buying our new home was to have a desk in the kitchen. My husband calls it the "mommy desk." As a YouTuber, it's great to have because I can keep up with social media while cooking dinner, cleaning the kitchen, etc.

That being said, there is such a thing as the computer being TOO readily available....at least from the perspective of a mom. I don't want to be online so much that miss out on those special moments, and sometimes I have to ACTIVELY give myself time limits or set a timer to get off the computer....much like a kid, I guess. Haha :)

Although the internet has plenty of timers available at the ready, I wanted to have a timer that was separate from my computer, more for symbolic reasons than anything. Plus, it requires me to PHYSICALLY take my hands off the keyboard and my eyes away from the screen to turn the alarm off!

I love decorating my desk, but I still wanted a little alarm clock for next to nothing, a clock that still went with the modern decor of my teal/pink/white color scheme, but not too big or cumbersome. It also had to stand on its own, be cordless, and be flexible with location, should I reorganize/redecorate my desk.




This little number from Ikea was PERFECT for my needs! It met all the above criteria for only 99 cents and is just adorable. So happy to have found a clock this small that has an alarm clock, plus, it's NEW!!! I am so used to buying things used that it actually felt like a bit of luxury - I know, weird, huh? :)

Found these gems at the DT last week and I loved it so much I went back for more! 

Reasons Why I Love Beginnings by Hask Argan Oil Hair Conditioning Treatment:

• Light not Heavy: I love when hair treatments are "intensive" yet don't weight heavily on your hair. 
• Absorption: And, this also absorbs really well! I detest when conditioners just seem to sit on your hair in one big glop and wash away into the drain without absorbing at all (a major fail by Organix in their Moroccan Oil conditioners, if you ask me). This, however, absorbs like a dream and leaves my hair feeling silky soft! 
• Scent: Lastly, a little bonus is that is smells AMAZING, with kind of a sweet citrus scent.
• Inexpensive: Yes, I bought this at the Dollar Tree (where everything is $1), but I found I could also buy this elsewhere for about $2-3 at the cheapest.
